Within

Personal somatic coaching for what wants more room.

Within is a consent-based, Hakomi-informed space for personal, relational, emotional, and embodied questions. We slow down what is present now so you can listen more clearly, protect what matters, and move with more choice.

This work can support boundaries, expression, shame, anger, grief, identity, relational change, and repeating patterns that do not shift through effort alone.

Start with what is here.

You do not need the perfect words, a complete story, or a clear goal before beginning. The work starts with what is present.

When this helps

When something wants to be heard, protected, or expressed.

  • A boundary, truth, or feeling that is hard to name.
  • A repeating pattern that does not shift through effort alone.
  • Shame, anger, grief, fear, longing, or tenderness that wants more room.
  • A relationship or role asking you to show up differently.
  • A sense that your body knows something your mind has been circling.
  • A season of transition, loss, renewal, or identity change.

What this is

A steady place to meet what is already here.

Within is not about becoming a better version of yourself through pressure. It is a place to listen to the body, emotion, image, impulse, thought, and relationship with enough steadiness that something new can become possible.

The pace is collaborative. You can pause, adjust, decline, or take more time.

What a session is like

We begin with what is alive, then slow it down together.

A session may include conversation, quiet noticing, somatic tracking, small experiments, relational reflection, and integration. Nothing has to be forced.

1

Bring what is present.

A feeling, pattern, relationship, boundary, memory, impulse, question, or place that feels stuck is enough.

2

Turn toward direct experience.

We notice what is happening in body, breath, emotion, image, thought, impulse, language, and relationship.

3

Return to something livable.

We close with what feels clearer: a boundary, conversation, practice, pause, repair, or next step.

What makes this different

The pattern is not treated as the enemy.

Many patterns began as protection. Within listens for the intelligence inside what has been bracing, hiding, pleasing, collapsing, pushing, or holding on.

We do not try to force the system open. Change becomes more trustworthy when it emerges from contact: with the body, with what matters, and with the part of you that has been trying to keep something safe.

The work can be gentle and still precise. It can include emotion, silence, humor, sensation, images, language, resistance, and the small signals that arrive before a person knows exactly what they mean.

Boulder Soma offers somatic coaching and facilitation, not psychotherapy, diagnosis, crisis care, or medical treatment. The work may complement therapy or other forms of support, but it is not a substitute for mental health care.

Practical details

Start with a short Intro Conversation.

The first conversation is not a commitment. It is a way to meet, sense fit, and choose the cleanest next step.

First step

Within Intro

A brief, no-pressure conversation to explore what is bringing you here and whether personal somatic coaching feels like a fit.

Book Within Intro

Session rhythm

Weekly, biweekly, or seasonal.

Some people meet weekly at first. Others meet every other week or return around a particular pattern, transition, or conversation.

Rate

Sliding scale

$120–$240 / session

Individual sessions are offered on a sliding scale to support both accessibility and the sustainability of the practice.

Fit

A good fit when the work is personal, relational, embodied, or hard to name.

You do not need to know exactly what you want to work on. A felt sense, repeating pattern, emotional response, relationship question, or place of stuckness is enough.

Good fit

You want space to listen, not pressure to perform insight.

Within is a strong fit if you are curious about boundaries, expression, emotion, relational change, identity, shame, anger, grief, or a pattern that keeps returning.

Not the best fit

You need crisis care, diagnosis, or medical treatment.

Boulder Soma is not a crisis, therapy, or medical provider. If you are in immediate danger or need urgent support, contact emergency services, a crisis line, or a licensed mental health professional.

Begin gently

Bring what is present. We’ll begin there.

You do not need the right words, a complete story, or a clear goal before beginning. The first step is simply to meet and sense whether this work feels like a fit.
